Disneyland, As It Was 50 Years Ago

August 12, 2013

To almost everyone out there, August is the month for vacations.

And few other American locations say “vacation destination” than Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.

Today, we have a treat for those of you in love with everything that has to do with the Magic Kingdom: A two-minute snippet of a color 16mm home movie belonging to a PPP client’s family, depicting a 1963  vacation inside one of Walt Disney’s most famous creations.

You will see a nice mix of the familiar and unfamiliar: The animals featured on the Jungle Cruise, floom rides on Splash Mountain and even the monorail making its way through Tomorrowland. Among the unfamiliar sites is what appears to be a bumper car attraction where the cars look more like hovercrafts or spaceships. If anyone can figure out what it is, please feel free to leave a comment below.
